Does Breathing Mean The Heart Is Still Working?

hi and sorry because my Q is general. i'm a pharmacy student and i have to prepare a presentation for my toxicology class.
Q: if a patient breathes does it mean that the heart is still working?
in other word when we're talking about ABC is B a sign of C?

Yes certainly, because no organ can function unless and until heart is beating. So ones heart stop beating, breathing will stop in few seconds.
