Hello,

The query is too general. However, the term "low levels of diabetes" is not usually used. It is necessary to know fasting, PP blood glucose plus HbA1c% to find out how severe is the diabetes. Another possibility is there may be a prediabetic situation, where patient is likely develop diabetes if necessary care is not taken like regular exercise (walking and other activities), weight maintenance and taking properly planned restricted diet.

Prediabetes is a reversible condition if appropriate care is taken. The machine being referred could be a glucometer which used at home to check blood sugar instantly at home or even in clinics. So please find out what are the fasting, PP glucose levels and HbA1c%, plus has the doctor advised any treatment. These details will give a clear idea about the severity of diabetes.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
