Does Brown Vaginal Spotting After Having Unprotected Sex Indicate Implantation Bleeding?

I am 23, 5 feet 2 inches, 118 pounds. I have a history of high cholesterol. I am on birth control, missed one pill this month, two weeks ago, but the day before missing the pill had unprotected sex. My period was supposed to start the days ago. I ve had no blood, but brown spotting. Is that old blood or can it be implantation bleeding?

Understand your concern
Brown vaginal spotting around the time of period, missing of OC pill and unprotected sex high;y suggestive of implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding is normally brownish to pink in color, around the period time and associated with mild abdominal cramp. So if period is missed by 10 days, confirm the pregnancy by pregnancy kit or by blood HCG level.
If pregnancy is rule out, it may be due to OCP side effects, hormonal imbalance.
