Does Bruised And Swollen Toe After An Injury Need Medical Attention?

i think i broke my toe yesterday morning while getting ready for church. i didnt do anything about it, just went on to church and followed through with my plans for the rest of the day. my toe is twice the size as the other and is entirely bruised, even down to the top of my foot. should i go to the doctor? i dont want to go for them to just wrap it like i can do at home, but the pain is getting worse and i have to do something soon!
