Does Bruxism Cause Headaches With Chin Swelling And Soreness?

Hi, I suffer from bruxism and soon will be fitted for a mouth guard. Three days ago I woke up with a headache, and a slightly swollen and sore chin. Is this because of the grinding? I have no fever, and its been persistently sore for these past few days. Should I be concerned?

This could be because of bruxism, bruxism is treated by using an appliance known as mouth guard, take tab ibugesic plus to relief pain, avoid anytype of stress and anxiety, take complete rest.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The head ache can come secondary to the bruxism. But the swelling over the chin could be because of the tooth or gum infection.
Consult a oral physician and get a radiograph done to rule out the infection. If there is a tooth infection then you can a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin 500mg and metronidazole 400mg tid for 5 days (if you are not allergic). Then you can get the tooth restored with RCT or extraction.
