Does Burning And Itchy Feet And Constant Thirst During Pregnancy Indicate Gestational Diabetes?
at 27 weeks and 5 days pregnant, i am measuring 30 cms, big!along with this i have tingly, itchy feet that burn at night or when they are up. i am thirsty and have developed, in pregnancy, an intolerance to milk. are these symptoms all related? i am concerned i have gestational diabetes.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Deficiency of the B-complex group of vitamins also can cause burning sensation of the feet. As the nutritional requirements are doubled during the mid-trimester of pregnancy, nutritional defects are exposed. You will, as part of the routine antenatal assessment, get your blood sugar level checked. Measurement of HbA1c is also useful to determine if you run a risk of developing diabetes in the future. If you have become intolerant to milk, you can take alternates such as yoghurt. Take adequate rest and get regular follow up. Wish you safe motherhood.
