Does Burning Feeling/blood While Urinating With Sticky Fluid From Vagina Indicates STD?
My best friend just messaged me saying she has trouble urinating, like there was a burning feeling to it, and its been going on for a couple days where traces of blood appear in her urine. Also, some sticky fluid comes out of her vagina after she urinates and that's been going on for roughly a month now and she's too afraid to see a doctor so I took the liberty of asking online. Any diagnosis for her? I'm thinking it's a urinary track infection, but she's been sexually active with someone who happens to have had history with an STD.
Thanks for your Query at HCM! According to the symptoms your patient is probably suffering from genitourinary tract infection. I advice you get early morning "mid-stream" sample of urine and vaginal swab tested for gram staining/culture aerobic/anaerobic bacteria. Also get an ultrasound abdomen & Pelvis done((To exclude stones in kidney). You might be suffering from Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, syphilis, Mycoplasma. You need to be investigated by serological tests for these infections. Also get HIV Elisa test done after counseling. After proper investigations you can start proper treatment. Drink plenty of fluids. Take care.
