Does Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Cause Bruise On The Hand?

I had a bulging vein on my wrist a week ago, then a few hours later a large bruise on my wrist, no vein. I have another bulging vein, not as bad, on the same wrist more toward the top of my hand. I do a lot of lifting my little ones and have carpal tunnel syndrome in the affected hand. What could be causing this? Should I be concerned?
