Does Cauda Equina Syndrome Gets Passed On From Mother To Child?

im 25, 5ft 7 and about 8.5 stone. my mother has cauda equina syndrome and a surgeon told her that it can be passed on. is this true? i have sciatica but i have started to get pins and needles in my right leg and sometimes the pain in my hip is so bad i cannot put my leg on the floor. i have been to the doctor but they just keep sending me away with pain killlers. this has got worse since i had my son almost 2 years ago. hope you can help
