Does Cervix Area Cauterization Forbid Exposure To Water?

I have had a hysterectomy 2 1/2 months ago in which they removed my cervix. I visited my gynecologist today because I still have light bleeding from my vagina all the time. The doctor had to cauterize the incision area where the cervix was removed and gave me some Premarin cream to apply 2 times a week for 3 weeks to help it heal. He has told me to avoid intercourse and hot tubs but should I also avoid swimming and baths? I forgot to ask him today and I have a pool party to go to this weekend and he won't be back in the office until Monday.
