Does Change In Menstrual Pattern Along With Abdominal Pain Indicate Pregnancy?

hi i have a period 2 weeks ago and it was a 3 day period but it was dark brown the whole time. Ever since my period stopped i have been having abdominal pain, my boyfriend and i use the pull out method and i am also on birth control. I s their any way im pregnant?

Hello,

You and your BF use the pull out method and you are also on birth control. You had dark brown periods for 3 days 2 weeks ago and since then you are experiencing abdominal pain. If you have correctly used whatever birth control you are using and your partner pulled out well then you may not be pregnant. However, the pre ejaculate does contain semen, little carelessness can make you prone to getting pregnant, such symptoms can also be indicative of implantation bleeding.

You can wait for a couple of days, if you develop symptoms of early pregnancy you should get urine test for pregnancy done. You can get clinically examined by a Gynae, get USG (Uterus and fallopian) tube done to detect ectopic pregnancy or confirm pregnancy. If you are pregnant you will be managed accordingly. If not it can be due to hormonal imbalance, PID, PCOS, cyst, etc. It will be treated accordingly.
