Does Changing Diabetes Medication Cause Pain In The Toe?

Dear Dr Earler my Mrs used to take glucored fort 1 & half in the morning and 1/2 in the noon and 1 & half in the evening.Suger reading was Fasting/PP 190/260. But since yesterday she has been prescribed to take Gemer Fort 2 1 in the morning and one in the evening. reading has not yet been taken but she is having little toe pain since yesterday night.Sir kindly can you advise please ?

My gut feeling is that her sugars will be slightly elevated. I have to add that this statement holds true in a long term diabetic. Anyways kindly check her sugars immediately for corrective action. High sugars can present as pain in the foot.
Depending on sugars you can plan the next step with your diabetologist.
