Does Circumcision Cause Lack Of Sensitivity During Sex?

Hi Doc, I am a 33 m India, who has an uncircumcised penis. I have been able to have sexual fun so far but often, I have my dick unable to penetrate a vagina or being too flacid. Moreover, the skin of my my uncircumcised penis does not retract completely which I feel is the reason for my penis not going to its full length and hardness. Please shed some more light on this condition. I have been reading the circumcision v/s keep intact debates and have a lot of apprehension on loss of sensitivity.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

This would be erectile dysfunction (Ed).

ED is a common problem. It can be related to one or more of the following: (a) reduced blood supply to the penis (b)reduced nerve supply (c) reduced hormone supply (d)psychological issues

It is not known to be associated with circumcision or lack of circumcision.

There are medications that can help with ED if it is not hormone related. If it is related to low testosterone , your doctor may consider replacement.

Medications include- viagra, cialis, levitra

I hope this helps
