Does Clearing Of Previously Noted Minimal Koch Infiltrated In The Left Upper Lobe Indicate Complete Recovery From PTB?

i undergone medication for 6 mos for PTB minimal. i had my x-ray last August and the result says that clearing of previously noted minimal koch infiltrated in the left upper lobe. Does it mean no scars found in my chest? Am i already cleared? Does it affect my medical result if i will have my x-ray again..i am applying for work abroad. thank you for answering. God bless.

Hello,

With the use of good AKT drugs, tuberculosis can be resolved completely. If clinically and the chest x-ray shows improvement, then no need to worry. Post-infectious fibrosis can be present in some cases as sequels. If you clinically and radiologically improved, then no further workup needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
