My husband had a massive brain stem stroke in Dec 2014. We arrived at hospital approx 2.15 hours after symptoms of double vision in one eye & poor co-ordination in his legs. No treatment given & sent to a medical ward. 6 hours later massive stroke which hasleft him quadriplegic. Now peg fed, large bowel removed cos of c diff infections. Still in hospital some 14 months later & hopefully to a rehab unit soon. Would the clot buster drug if administered on arrival at hospital have made a difference to him ??
