Does Colonoscopy Preparation Procedure Help To Alleviate The Abdominal Pain?

My husband is 72,years old since last 2 months he has baleen having stomach pain especially in morning.he also has acid reflux. He is on omeprazole medication 40 gms after he takes his medicine he goes to workout . After 2 hours or so he feels better. He also had a X-ray done, hpylori test done which was negative. X-Ray showed moderate amount of stools in colon.last week he had a cats can done of stomach. That revealed prostate enlarged. Rest everything was ok. The GI doctor said he fails to understand the cause of pain. Can prep colon will be helpful to flush out everything?and relive his pain?

He may need to do a fybroscopy to check the stomach and intestines for lesions which can cause the pain. Also, get tested for parasites.
