Does Constant Dizziness And Disorientation Require Medical Attention?

I have been having dizziness when in bed, rolling over, standing up, feel a little disoriented, tired, just blah, last night I have a worse esposode which included by eyes fluttering. I do have high blood pressure but it is under control with meds. This has been going on for 2 weeks now, I have a dr appt in 2 weeks and was wondering if I should go see him this week or if I can wait for my regular appt? I am not sure what is wrong but something is. I am 54 female, thanks for any input you may have.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, you should definitely book an early appointment. Your symptoms are more suggestive of brain disease. Since you are also having hypertension, brain pathology should be first rule out. So, consult your doctor early and get done clinical examination and MRI of brain. If these are negative then no need to worry much. Sometimes menopause related hormonal imbalance can also cause similar symptoms. Don't worry, you will be alright but first rule out brain pathology.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
