Does Continuous Bleeding During Early Pregnancy Indicate A Miscarriage?

Hello... I recently had my 5th miscarriage at 15 weeks on Dec 20, 2015. Today is April 24, 2016 and I have not stoped bleeding since. To make things worse for some reason in the in between brakes I happend to get pregnant again and now I am 6w1d. Why do I continue bleeding, will it hurt my new pregnancy, why is the blood dark brown, should I worry for a infeccion, can it cause another miscarriage? Thanks for the help!

Hi,

Bleeding during pregnancy should be treated immediately. Especially since you have a history of frequent abortions. The cause should be identified and managed. Genetic causes, immunologic causes, autoimmune diseases, uterine müllerian anomalies, infectious causes, smoking, endocrine factors such as diabetes mellitus and hematologic disorders are some of the causes of recurrent abortions and must be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
