Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Okay, I have been considering getting a bicycle for transport/exercise but my mom thinks it may cause me to vaginal bleed and lead to internal bleeding of the ovaries. Should I be worried about this or is it good to have a bike? Btw I have owned a bike before and never had any problems.
Cycling does not cause such internal bleeding. But it is imperative that you do not overdo cycling. It is better to avoid cycling during pregnancy. It is actually safe and a good exercise. People who have intervertebral or cerebral disc prolapse or spondylitis should consult their specialists before involving in cycling activities.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Jasmine Jagan
