Does Depression Medication Cause Balding?

Hi,

I have been taking depression medication for my OCD for at least 3 years now. Though in the past year I have been noticing thinning in the front of my head and it continues to get worse. I ve heard online that depression medication could cause balding or trigger the bald gene earlier. Is this true or not? I really need a straight answer if this is from the medication, or just plain male pattern baldness. I also visited a dermatologist and he said that it looks like it s just natural balding, and that they put balding as a side-effect on the label to save them from people taking the company to court, because there will be a percentage of people that will be balding already taking the medication.

Please help.

Thank you.

None of the medicine taken for OCD cause balding, though it would have been better if you name the medicine with doses.
