Hello, Dr. Rynne, My father is 73 years old, has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and diabetes. He has not been taking his heart medication, blood pressure medication, or insulin as prescribed, but as he thinks he needs to for some time. He told me today that he has experienced a sudden, significant loss of hair recently, (clumps), and has noticed his nails have changed in appearance. In addition to his medical conditions, I do not think my father is eating very nutritional foods. I have read that poor nutrition and kidney disease can cause these two new symptoms. Please suggest foods I can provide my father to help address his new symptoms or additional conditions we may need to pursue medically. Thank you for your time and consideration, Shelly
