Does Diabetes Lead To Gastric Trouble?

Doctor,
I am male 51 years. I am under medication for BP for the last 10 years. right now I am taking Tazlac trio-40 mg 1 tablet every day. My problem is that my stomach filled with gas for the next two days I eat non-veg(irrespective of the qty) Release of gas through mouth or anus provides relief. however sometimes my BP goes up when I am suffering from the gas formation.
Exept my LDL cholestrol (130mg) all other specifications like glucose levels are within normal limits. I take Pantop 20 mg on those problematic days alone in empty stomach in the morning.
Kindly tell me is there any link between BP and gastritis.

hi,
There is indirect link between BP and gastric trouble, but there is a direct link between diabetes and gastric trouble.
Diabetic patients develop gastroparesis (reduced speed of contractions in stomach) leaving food much longer in the stomach giving a feeling of bloating. This also leads to excess gas formation which is not quickly cleared by slothy bowel.
If your stomach is upset, your autonomic tone is disturbed and may result in increase in BP.
Hope i amclear.
