Does Dizziness Indicate Vertigo?

Hi, I am 35 years old... a few weeks ago I was sitting in the car waiting to pick up my kids from school.. I had a really bad cough, I coughed so loud and strong, something in my ear popped. Now as of 2 days ago, I woke up in the morning and was about to put some makeup on, when I looked down im my bag, the whole room started spinning.. I have been light headed and dizzy for a couple of days now... my dr. said he thinks it vertigo... Does it sound like it to you guys? And what can I do to get rid of this!! Driving is so very scary!!!

Hello,

Coughing and ear popped is due to movement of small membrane in ear as ear is connected to your nose, nothing to worry about that. Dizziness needs to be evaluated, I think your doctor has already done it. Vertigo can be controlled with medications, no need to worry, needs dose adjustment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
