Does Drinking Of Tap Water Lead To Fluctuate BP?

For a few days now, when I drink water (tap water--nothing too cold, or too hot), I start having shortness of breath, and my heart has been racing. At one point my blood pressure was 172 over 92. But after 10 minutes of resting, it was 120 over 60. Any ideas as to what this might be?

Hello, Thnx to contact us. If I am your treating doctor I would like to advice you that fluctuating the blood pressure and drinking tap water has nothing to do. There is no possibilities that you fluctuate BP after tapwater drinking. There may be other causes of the change in BP. There is need for the detail history for the phenomenon also it may be something serious, I advice you should do ECG. If you have anything else to ask please contact me. Thanx. Dr. Arun Tank
