Does Dysfunction Of The Kidney Or Liver Cause Erectile Dysfunction?

hello doc, i want to ask if kidney or liver problems can cause ed,i use to be very active with sex but these days i get poor erections, i am having certain pains on my lower right abdomen and stomach, anytime i get these pains i feel a line of pain too through to my penis . anything you can enlighten me on?

Hi,

Yes, kidney and liver problems may cause erectile dysfunction. The possibility of ureteric calculi or a hernia may present like this. Testicular or scrotal pain may present like this.

Please get ultrasound abdomen, avoid spicy food and alcohol.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
