Does Dyslexia Or Squint Affects The Reading And Writing Ability?

Hi, my son is aged 8 and was diagnosed as being dyslexic 18 months ago. He has since been diagnosed as having an intermittent squint 4 weeks ago. Does this mean that he doesn't have dyslexia and it is the squint that has effected his reading and writing ability?
