Does Ear Infection Cause Nasal Drainage?

I was wondering if it s normal to have discharge out of your noes if you have an ear infection? When my son bent over a lot of fluid just came running out of his nose -- a yellowish color. He has a temp of 99.8 and said his ear has been hurting for two days

Yes,it is possible but also the opposite,that nose and throat infection caused ear infection since these two parts are connected through esutachian tube and fluids may go between these. You should use decongestant for nose and antibiotic for ear infection.
