Does Ear Pain And Muscle Pain Indicate The Re-occurrence Of Flu?

hi, i have right ear pain and right sore neck muscle. I have been taking antibiotic ear drops for 5 days and the symptoms have not improved. I am very tired and sleepy all day, very fatigued and have muscle pain and soreness all over my body. I had the flu two weeks ago lasting approximately 2 days.

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain ear pain and sore neck muscles seems to be due to ear infection while fatigue, sleeplessness,muscle pain and soreness seems to be due to either viral infection or discomfort occurring due to ear infection..

I would suggest you to consult an ENT Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical examination, otoscopy of ear and complete blood picture should be done to rule out the cause and treatment will be done accordingly..

As of now you can take a combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics like Augmentin along with anti-inflammatory painkiller like Advil or Aleve, Tylenol to reduce pain, drinking plenty of water and take sufficient rest..
Take a light and nutritious diet..
Antibiotic and analgesic ear drops can be given..
