Does Elevated Cholesterol Level Cause Dizziness?

Upon waking up in the morning I still feel dizziness and have a dull headache even though I am taking hidrist for the past 3 days. Also my cholesterol is elevated My result is 5.9 (upper limit is 4.9). Blood pressure 3 days ago was 140. I am a 60 year old female. Only other medication is the asthma pump that I use infrequently.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Mam,increased level of cholesterol may be associated with your problem,Dizziness with heavy headedness may be due to some other reason also.I would request you to monitor your blood pressure twice daily for 5days,get your blood sugar level for fasting and after meals checked and test for thyriod that is T3,T4 and TSH levels, also I would like to add liver function test in the list.
Symptoms due to high levels of cholesterol includes that occurs in heart disease like breathlessness, dizziness, yellowish nodules on body especially aroun eyes.
I hope this would be helpful for you.
Thanks and regards
