Does Encephalomalacia Cause Eye And Nerve Pain?

Can you develop eye pain and nerve pain from encepethmalcia? I have appt in December with neuroligists. But rheumatologists said i have no inflammation... Having pain and balance issues and pain in my head all the time... So frustrating.. Had brain MRI and only thing found was encepethmalcia on left frontal lobe.... But was is causing all the head and eye pain so bad???

Hi,

Encephalomalacia is the softening or loss of brain tissue after cerebral infarction, cerebral ischemia, infection, craniocerebral trauma, or other injury. Symptoms of encephalomalacia include severe headaches, vertigo, memory loss and mood swings (if the frontal lobe is affected), diminished coordination, visual impairment and extreme drowsiness.

Some of the symptoms you are experiencing could be associated with encephalomalacia. Kindly consult Neurologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
