Does Endometrial Submucosal Fibroid Inhibit Pregnancy?
40 year old woman, 5'11" tall, 151 lbs, active healthy. Abnormal bleeding for a month: Ultrasound has shown an endometrial submucosal fibroid, hemoglobin 118, MCH 26.5 and Ferritin 14...can you tell me what this means? Also FSH 3.7, LH 2.4 and TSH 1,8. I want to try to get pregnant in the next year...are any of these a preventing factor? What can I do other than take iron pills?
Hi, I have gone through your question. Submucosal fibroid do cause difficulty in pregnancy. As it hinders implantation and if implantation occurs, leads to poor blood supply to fetus causing abortion, the Submucosal fibroid should be removed by hysteroscopy or by open surgery. Rest of your investigations are completely normal. I would suggest you to consult an infertility specialist and get treatment accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
