Does Endometriosis Cause Pain Below The Navel And Painful Urination?

Hello, I have a dull pain right below my navel that will not go away. When I go to the restroom it hurts to urinate. Also, my back is hurting. Last year around this time I had my gallbladder removed and was told that I had endometriosis. Could this pain be associated with my diagnosis?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Endometriosis may cause pain below the navel and also may affect urination. On the other hand, it is important to have a urinalysis and urine culture to rule out urinary infection or other urinary disorders first.

If these are normal then a gynecological exam and transvaginal ultrasound are indicated to rule out any other lesions or infections that may cause these symptoms.
If all the tests come out normal then endometriosis may be considered the possible cause.

I hope this is helpful and answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further assistance is needed.

Regards,
