Does Excessive Intake Of Lucozade Drink Cause Sore Throat & Chills?
Hello, over the past couple of days I ve drank an excessive amount of lucozade sport. I started to get an extremely sore throat, sweating, chills, and feeling faint from last night and it was worse this morning. This was after drinking the most I ve had yesterday, 4 bottles. My tongue started to burn and my throat got sore. Is it possible that this caused my problems? I m 16 and I weight 11 stone, height is 5 6.
Hi. Read and understood your history of consuming the Lucozade sports drinks and stated to have sore throat, sweating, chills and feeling faint. Yes, such a large consumption can cause such problems. I would advise you to consult a Doctor to have clinical evaluation, examination and more importantly the investigations related to the blood and urine, kidney functions in particular as these drinks are known to cause kidney problems too. Whatever the reasons you need to start taking an active treatment with antibiotics and other medicines as per the investigations reports too. Take bed rest. Follow the advise of your Doctor and most important of all is not to have these and such drinks in future, as they can have bigger and life threatening problems.
