Does Extreme Body Pain Indicate Lupus?

Thank You. I have extreme pain all over my body especially on my joints. My pain level is always between 8-9. I have had 5 back surgeries, osteomyelitis and just had an epidural and had a fever.. My PT told me to go to the Mayo clinic. I was told to get tested for Lupus. Do I need to?

it would be a good idea to get checked for lupus and arthritis, since it is important to diagnose the cause of pain.
pain all over may be due to fibromyalgia, but we need to be sure that there is no arthritis.
