Does Fasciitis In Hip And Leg Take A Long Time To Heal?

My right leg and hip hurts. I went to the doctor last week and he said it is fasciitis. It still hurts - shouldn t it have gone by now. It feels deep inside my pelvis and sometimes my top right leg. I had an xray but don t have any results yet. I take paracetamol but can t take this forever. How long will it take to go away?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Fasciitis is inflammation of the fascia. Paracetamol is helpful for pain but it is not typically considered an anti inflammatory pain medication.

If you are able to use anti inflammatory pain meds, this would better help to relieve the inflammation and pain eg cataflam , naproxen, ibuprofen

The use of heat compress would also help as well.

It may take 2 to 4 weeks to complete resolve.

I hope this helps
