Does Fasting Affects In Conceiving?

Hi Dr. , my last period was on June 9. My husband & I intercoursed on June 21 (during fertile window) and July 1. At the same time, Im also fasting for this ramadhan. My next expected period supposedly to be last Sunday, July 6. It did not arrived nor do I have any symptoms of it coming. Unusual. My nipples hurt, which is also very unusual. I tested today (cycle day 29) afternoon with clearblue compact but negative. Generally, im quite regular 27-28 days. I would like to know if fasting affects my chances of conceiving, or should I test in a few days time? Please advice. Thank you.

yes you are right , the stress accompanied by fasting and induced on body does cause periods to delay by few days.it is known and literature has proved it. i suggest if the pregnancy test is negative and now that ramadan is over you may wait for a week , perform another pregnancy test by clearblue compact and then if negative can opt for a withdrawal bleed with progestins.
