I m 6 weeks pregnant and got an ultrasound on Monday and it showed a flickerin of the heartbeat, today, 3 days later in the ultrasound didn t show the flickering. Although i got an increase in morning sickness on Tuesday I m really sad because I could be experiencing a miscarriage. Any advice?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Flickered hear beat followed by absence of heart beat on ultrasound suggests that the pregnancy is not viable and would amount to miscarriage.
But, it is a little early at 6 weeks to conclude about it. You can wait for 2 more weeks and get a scan done to know the status of viability of pregnancy.
In the mean time, you can take advise regarding the same by consulting Gynecologist.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
