Does Fluctuating HCG Level Indicate Ectopic Pregnancy?

I am pregnant, but very early and my hcg levels have been fluctuating. From the 2 weeks after ovulation, I ve been tested every 2 or 3 days, measuring at 30, 51, 89, 213, then very slight rise to 249, which is when they told me to stop my progesterone supp s because it was probably a chemical pregnancy. It dropped to 223 after 2 days, but now after another 3 days, it s gone up 21%(around 267?). Is it most likely ectopic or still possibly chemical?

Hi thanks for asking question.

You have Hcg level mostly above 200 in last 3 times detection.
Means although mild fluctuation is present its level is steadily high ...

So to be at safer side ectopic pregnancy has to be ruled out.USG will also be helpful.

If no ectopic pregnancy present then it might be by chemical pregnancy.

Repeat Hcg after few days also done.

Wish you good health.

Take care.
