Does Folic Acid Tablets Help In Conceiving?
warm greetings madam, i got married before 3 months , for the past 6 months i got irregular periods, two times i checked for pregnancy but result is negative, then consulted doctor she prescribed folic acid and metben tablet for 1 month and asked me to reduce weight immediately (78kgs) and to be in diet to get conceive. Iam 30 years old, please say me will these tablets will help me to get conceive?

Let me clear one thing as , irregular bleeding , scanty menses , over weight acne ( excessive) , are an indication in a female ( young age group 16-35 years ) that she may have a disease namely Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease ( PCOD ) .
P C O D is the main cause of infertility in female, irregular bleeding , obesity ( as irregular period and over weight present in your case) .
So metben ( metformin+ benfotiamine ) is a perfect choice in the treatment of pcod , hence this drug will try to regulate your period , that's why your doctor prescribed this drug .
Folic acid is only an IRON supplement and nothing to do for conception.
Your doctor thinks that you may have PCOD so he prescribed this drug .
Ultrasound will confirm pcod.
Consult your treating doctor and get his opinion.
