Does Gall Bladder Removal Lead To Swollen Tongue?

I had laproscoptic surgery on Mon. for gall bladder removal. In recovery room, my tongue became swollen & I felt like I couldn't swallow. They gave me benadril & a steroid & it helped. Should I be concerned about future surgeries & try to find out what caused this.

The surgery itself would not cause these symptoms, but given the fact that Benadryl and steroids helped it may have been an allergic reaction to a medication.
