Does General Anesthesia Take Long To Wear Off?
Dear Doctor: My husband had a heart by pass surgery , but he has not recovered from anesthesia, as he has a breathing tube in his throat after trachactomy . has no pain in his hands and only flickers his eyes and moves his left left leg. Is he in coma or will it take time for him to come out of semi conscious state.?

Generally, it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to recover from a general anaesthesia but it may take longer in some cases depending upon the medicines used for anaesthesia.
