Does Getting Off NuvaRing Delay Periods?

I stopped taking the Nueva Ring before my last period. All was normal until this month, I still have not started my cycle. I am four days late and I have taken a pregnancy test but it was negative. I am having cramps but nothing is happening. Is this normal when getting off the nueva ring? Do peoples body have to adjust?
