Does Going Off Pravachol Cause Rise In BP?

my blood pressure is normally 110/63 - 118/73. Since going off pravachol because it wasn't working any longer and trying lipitor and crestor and not being able to take those particular pills. I was told to wait before going back on pravachol a few weeks to get the statins out of my body. Now, my blood pressure is higher...is it related??
