Does Having Protected Sex With An HIV Positive Person Cause Infection?

hello... I am scared... I had sex with someone who later said he was HIV positive. I was active and I used a condom. I checked the condom and it did not break. He gave me oral sex. I did not ejaculate in his mouth. I made him a Polish kiss in his ass, it was short and I saw no wound in his anus. I HAVE RISK? I CAN NOT SLEEP 3 DAYS.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Transmission is unlikely. You can go for an HIV screening test for reassurance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
