Does High Histamine Levels While On Synthroid Cause Extreme Itching In Body?

I itch all over, I have no rash and do not have dry skin. My dr says I have high histamine levels, I take antihistamines, I am just wondering if it is something I am doing. I have Graves disease and I take synthroid. I am just tired of the itching, I can not get relief.

I really understand your concern.


You can't take Synthroid if you actually have Graves disease, because it is contraindicated, so it should be stopped at instant.

Synthroid is used in hypothyroidism, while Graves disease is hyperthyroidism. So based on your introduction, your extreme itching in body is due Synthroid and Graves disease.

Maybe you're not informed well about your diagnosis, so please see your treatment doctor.

I would prescribe Atarax 50mg one tablet at bedtime, that will help him about his itching and sleeplessness until the hyperthyroidism can be controlled.
