Does Hitting On Nose Cause Snoring?

My daughter hit my nose with her head last week, and when it happened, there was a crushing sound. Since then, my nose feels stopped up, but I don't have any other symptoms for having a cold. Also, I have started snoring really loudly since then. Any ideas what could be going on?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Trauma to nose may cause deviated nasal septum in some individuals but it may be not be totally responsible for snoring. Regarding snoring, it may have been there initially may be you are more cautious now and observed.

My advice to you is to consult ENT specialist and get your nose examined and if needed go for sleep study which helps in ruling out any other conditions leading to snoring.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
