Does Hypothyroidism Or Birth Control Cause Lightheadedness, Fatigue And Shortness Of Breath?

I was just recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I ve been having symptoms like lightheadedness and not feeling like I m in reality also fatigue shortness of breath at times. I m on lo estrin birth control pill. Could that effect the way I m feeling or could this have caused a problem with my thyroid?

Dear-thanks for using our service and understand your concern. Hypothyrodism is an auto-immune condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone and you feel tired,gain weight due to slow metabolism, can have shortness of breath due to fatigue and the heart rate is slower than normal. However,there is no interaction between birth control pills and hypothyroidism,so do not worry thinking that this is the reason for it. Birth control pills can give you headache or lightheadedness too.
