Does Increasing The Intake Of Perindopril Dosage Advisable?

i was prescribed 4mg of perindopril but on returning from holiday recieved a phone call from gp to increase dose to 6mg when putting up my dossete box i realised i had been taking 8mg for a week as this is what the pharmaasist had given me instead of 4g will this do me any harm

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, if you didn't experience any side effects like dry cough, low blood pressures or any abnormal heart rhythm then hopefully it would not have caused any trouble till now.

For reassurance, you can check renal function tests and serum potassium levels if normal then no long term complications or contraindication is likely.

Meanwhile, if blood pressure is higher despite current treatment adding indapamide may be helpful.
