Does Increasing Thickness Of The Endometrium In Consecutive Ultrasound Reports Indicate Cancer?
hi my mother age is 57 years old she is patient of postmenupause she was using primolut n and transamine for controle her bleeding from dr advise.recently her ultrasound showing .6 cm thickness of endometrium.before six months the thickness was 2.9cm.is it cancer?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Increase in endometrial thickness does not always indicate presence of cancer. Also, ultrasound scan is not an accurate investigation meant for diagnosing cancer. You need to get an endometrial biopsy done and subject the biopsy material for histopathological examination. Biopsy report would certainly indicate weather there is endometrial cancer or not. Kindly consult Gynaecologist in this regard for proper advise and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
