Does Indoor Mold Cause Congestive Heart Failure?

Hi Doctor,

I recently received a diagnosis of Congestive Heart Failure after working for a company that twice did remediation for mold within two pedways on their corporate campus. My symptoms have been controlled by the treatment I've received from a team of pulmonary specialists and cardiologists. Do you know anything about toxic mold and Congestive Heart Failure is it reversible?

Hi.
This is for the first time I have heard about molds and relation to the heart attack.
Surely there is no direct relation.
Yes, molds can cause severe respiratory problems of all sorts including allergic coughs, asthma and its further effects, sequel or complications could have lead you to the heart problem if you had already (pre-) existing problems of the heart.

I do not think that both things are directly related to each other .BUT- One thing is for sure, if you have now a cardiac problem you should be away from the molds and mildews , in fact all the allergens which can cause respiratory problems.
Take proper care and treatment.
